Metrics Matter

Getting started with analytics can be scary, or seem way too complex. A quick Google search of “learning evaluation methods” brings up dozens of theories mentioning the Kirkpatrick model, which seems to get more overwhelming the more levels you look at! Then, once you pick a model to work with, you quickly learn that you:

• Don’t have the business knowledge to know what to ask.

• Receive useless responses because you’re not experienced at gathering data.

• Get good data, but are not sure what insights they provide.

• Have so much data, you don’t even know where to start your narrative to management.
