When we think about technology, all kinds of imagery can jump into our heads. Some have made huge, positive impacts on society—cellular phones, medical implements, and GPS navigation to name a few. In the learning arena, technology’s impact has been profound; from CD-ROM-based e-learning to fully online training to present-day microbursts of content that’s available anytime, on any device. But, even with all the positives, some still feel the same way about technology that they would if they were suddenly dropped into a jungle—alone, without a flashlight, little water, and no means of protection.
