Abstract:
This chapter covers the importance of simulation and simulation modeling in generating Lean biomanufacturing processes. Using these approaches the key points which affect efficient production can be maximized and those factors which introduce waste can be identified and changed. Key points addressed are methods to de-bottleneck processes, satisfying efficiency, association with capacity planning, efficient use of labor resources, and equipment sizing and use.
