- Empowerment System Definition:
- A self-organizing body of Lateral Leaders who improve Standard Work in a Kaizen Suggestion System
Ponder the question: “Can a large organization be a true democracy?”
Now consider a string of follow-up questions:
- Is it possible to release power to the people, or do some choices need to be made at the top?
- Does everyone truly have a voice, or do we just create the illusion of choice to improve culture?
- Can empowerment really exist?
The answers to these questions are not simple. They demand years of system development, human investment, and leadership alignment. Leaders must not only care enough to ask them but remain humble enough to hear the answers.
