The starting point of a Lean thinker is that your results are an outcome of the process you use. So, if you want better results you will have to improve the process. But then who is going to do that? Ideally this will be the people who carry out the process. They are in the best position to understand and improve the process. However, they are not going to do this on their own. In any case this requires a vision, support, knowledge and skills, resources, and an action plan. In other words, this requires leadership from you! After all, someone has to take the first step and make sure that all the necessary elements are in place. Waiting for others to do something is ineffective and will make you as a leader redundant. ...
