This chapter is my favourite of the entire book. It covers tools that automate website performance optimization. There are innumerable tools for automating the whole gamut of web development tasks, and many of them are well suited to the optimization tasks presented in this book.
In this chapter, I'll first introduce some helpful scripts and APIs that you can use for automation. After explaining how to use these tools, I'll apply them to a concrete example, using the task runner Grunt.
