Entering Functions in Your Worksheets

Excel puts the most widely used functions right at your fingertips, and you can enter even the most specialized functions quickly and easily.

These are the four ways of inserting functions:

• Use the AutoSum button or AutoSum pop-up menu. The AutoSum button appears on the Standard toolbar and in the Function group on the Formula tab of the Ribbon and gives quick access to five widely used functions.
• Use the Insert pop-up menu and the Formula Builder. The Insert pop-up menu appears in the Function group of the Formulas tab of the Ribbon.
