Applying the Rib command

In this part, we will learn how to use the Rib command to generate ribs in our models. We will create the model shown in the following drawing. The base model we will use is available for download with this chapter. Note the ribs are highlighted in detail views A and B, which we will generate in this exercise:

To use the rib feature for this exercise, we can follow these steps:

Download and open the SOLIDWORKS part linked with this section about ribs. The model is as shown. Alternatively, you can create the model from scratch:

Select the Front Plane from the design tree.
In the Features tab, select the Rib command, ...
