TROUBLESHOOTING
This book requires Minecraft 1.8 or 1.9, Python 3.5 or newer, and Java 7 or newer. If you’re having trouble getting your environment set up, the software versions are the most likely problem. Follow the instructions below to check that you are using the correct versions of Minecraft, Python, and Java.
