8.3. Monitoring process for hacking
Security, and web security in particular, is a career all by itself. As the web administrator you should be able to properly secure your websites and servers (as you’re doing in this book), but every additional ounce of knowledge about security can be used to assist the security/firewall team and developers along the way.
The tools mentioned here require additional research and study, but if you want to become more involved in the security side of the web, this is a good place to start. Plan to spend some time reading the Hacking Exposed series of books. If you dive in deep, you may even consider a certification such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
