13.2. Deploying a web farm using Microsoft NLB

Installing and configuring Microsoft NLB is fairly easy with the graphic utilities:

  • Server Manager installs the NLB feature
  • NLB Manager finishes the configuration

If this is the route you want to go, there are plenty of Google and Bing resources available, but this is one of those times when PowerShell is the best answer.

You’ll install the NLB feature on your web servers and configure NLB on each server. PowerShell Remoting makes that fast and simple.
