Learned Mindfulness—An Emotional Intelligence Perspective

Abstract

Mindfulness is a state of mind, a “presence” one experiences. It is alert relaxedness allowing whatever sensations, feelings, or thoughts experienced at that present moment to flow through mental space, merely witnessed, noted, then allowed to move on. Learned Mindfulness practice enhances knowing and showing mindful awareness in everyday living. Mindfulness memory is the capacity to recall or to be mindful of the entire range of ideas, feelings, and activities proper and conducive to health, well-being, and wellness.
