The Amazon Appstore is growing rapidly and is currently available in more than 200 countries. Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD are rapidly growing devices and have access only to the Amazon Appstore. These Amazon-branded devices do not have access to Google Play. Amazon is committed to providing tablets at affordable price points, and to make profits via content and not hardware. This policy could be a boon to developers, especially because their apps will show up in searches throughout all of Amazon.
