I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuration location
Depending on the operating system and the installation method you might have chosen at the beginning, the configuration files might exist in different locations.
The configuration files are usually located in one of the following directories based on your installation type:
- Cassandra package installations (apt-get or yum installation): /etc/cassandra
- Cassandra Tarball installation: install_location/conf
- Cassandra Windows installations: C:Program/FilesDataStax/Community/apache-cassandra/conf
If you go to the location where your configuration files are located and take a look at the list of files persisting there, it should look like this:
