On the 1st Appalachian Conference we had the opportunity to present a synergetic view of order - chaos - order transitions in multistable perceptual processes (Stadler & Kruse 1993, Kruse & Stadler 1995). This time we shall deal with learning processes in which order - chaos - higher order phase transitions have to be expected.
