In this lesson we will cover some of the basics of animation and making objects move in Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2010 software. We are going to introduce some of the concepts behind animation, identify some of the primary animation tools, as well as do a short animation with our gold mine prop.

In this lesson, you will learn the following:

  • The basic concept of animation and how it works in 3ds Max
  • Identify some of the key animation tools
  • Create a simple key frame animation for our gold mine prop
