Lights and Effects
In the real world, it is light that allows us to see the surfaces and objects around us. In computer graphics, digital lights play the same role. They help define the space within a scene and, in many cases, help to set the mood or atmosphere. As well, several other effects besides lighting can be added to the final image in order to have it look more realistic. This lesson explores and explains some of the basic Autodesk® Maya® software effects.
