3. Introduction to Cocos2D Animations and Actions

In Chapter 2, “Hello, Space Viking,” you learned the basics of Cocos2D and created a scene with two layers: background and gameplay. You got a Viking sprite moving around on the screen, and hopefully, you whet your appetite for continuing on to the full-featured game. In this chapter you will learn about actions and animations and in the process start to build a flexible framework for Space Viking. As you read this chapter, keep in mind that you can reuse this framework to create your own games in the future.
