As a geospatial analyst, you may frequently encounter the following general data types:

  • Spreadsheets and comma-separated values (CSV files) or tab-separated values (TSV files)
  • Geotagged photos
  • Lightweight binary points, lines, and polygons
  • Multi-gigabyte satellite or aerial images
