Chapter 10. Next Steps

This chapter aims to leave you with resources you can use to build on the inspiration you’ve hopefully found in this book. This chapter also includes some resources you can use as a refresher, which may be useful if you found yourself out of your depth at all throughout the book.

As I’ve tried to emphasize, it’s impossible to write a comprehensive book that covers every unique solution your business needs, but I hope you now have the tools to develop one yourself. I’ve written the use cases to cover many of the different aspects that have come up in my own history, but your business and experiences will be different. I’ve worked through many use cases, and each time I’ve aimed to introduce a new element, be it some code or service I’ve not tried before or a new approach. So when you’re working on your GA4 project, maybe you can pick up this book and find an entry that will give you that extra element you didn’t know before and can now include.

If you haven’t implemented any of the solutions covered in the book, I encourage you to try at least one of them to help you experience for yourself any issues that may come up. Books and examples are idealized and don’t cover the to-and-fro of fiddling with typos, forgotten links, or mistakes that I made when creating them.

In this last chapter, I’ll share how I collected the knowledge to write this book, which is largely from the community and the kindness of strangers who have blogged, tweeted, or chatted in person ...
