Material Design Lite

The Material Design Lite framework, which is made by Google, operates in the same way as Materialize and most other CSS frameworks by providing CSS and JavaScript that are written to create material-compliant components and animations.

The Lite descriptor should not be taken to mean that MDL should be considered as being inferior or pared down. There are fewer components available to us than in many frameworks but the term Lite refers more to it being lightweight in the software sense. It has a very low memory overhead and few dependencies.
