Has a smell or song or sound ever triggered a memory that you had completely forgotten? There’s much more to memory than just the cognitive story. Humans are complex beings. Cognitive science, incorporating cognitive psychology but also neuroscience, sociology, anthropology, linguistics, and more, tries to be as inclusive as possible. Our approach will need to similarly be open-minded.
