Foursquare is a search and discovery platform which helps users with their social endeavors. It uses the user's information including previous history, demographic information, location, and so on, to suggest locations of interest to the user. In simple terms, it can be viewed as an application dishing out aggregated location knowledge custom built to an individual's tastes.
