Source Code—Where It All Starts

In your kittenbook project, you wrote source code. Specifically, the instructions you wrote in kittenbook.js are the source code of your project. The other files (manifest.json and kittenbook.html) can also be considered source code, but they don’t really contain instructions. manifest.json is used to make Chrome understand how your program works (a type of input), and kittenbook.html describes what should be on your web page and in what format (a type of output).
