Chapter 4. Installing and Configuring the App Volumes Software
In this chapter, we will install the App Volumes software and complete the initial configuration steps. Before we do this, we are going to take a few minutes to walk through the prerequisites. We will also cover the App Volumes infrastructure requirements.
Prerequisites
Before you start the App Volumes installation, you need to have the following in place:
- An Active Directory account that has read access to the base DN so that App Volumes Manager can query Active Directory users and groups.
- An Active Directory user accounts with the following permissions:
- Standard permissions for setup/connection
- Administrator-level access to allow the installation of applications into Writable Volumes
