In this chapter we are going to discuss virtual hardware but more specifically the virtual hardware versions that VMware Workstation Pro supports.

We have already discussed virtual CPU, virtual networking, and virtual storage at a high level in previous chapters, so in this chapter we will discuss those as well as other virtual device types but focus this time on how they work and are configured for virtual machines running on Workstation Pro.
