Applying the basics

At this point, we've covered all of the basic features of the Xcode IDE that you need to know to start doing some real work. Throughout the rest of the book, we'll be taking closer looks at many different aspects of the editor.

However, before we move on, let's put our new knowledge to the test, and put everything together to create our first Hello World! iOS application. This little application will have a single button that writes text on the screen.
