Designing for Success

Process is about doing the right things at the right times. It's the formula for every kind of success, actually. And doing the right things begins with knowing what the right things are; then focusing on the right goals and tasks continually. If nothing else, successive approximation stresses the importance of alternatively focusing on the big picture, then on details of a learning experience, and then back again to the big picture, and so on. It's the purpose of iterations to take only small steps before evaluating whether they advance sufficiently toward the goal.
