THE REAL MEANING OF TECHNOLOGY
Place a cell phone on the palm of your hand. You are holding more technology than NASA had available in 1969 for Neil Armstrong to travel to and from the Moon and be the first man to walk on its surface. Space technology from 1969 might look low-tech to us today, but in its day, its design enabled human beings to meet the challenge of exploring outer space.
Technology is the use of science to design useful things that solve problems. It can refer to both the solution and how it is made. Think about the mobile phone: There had never been such a thing before it was invented in 1973.
