COLLECTING STORIES FROM EVERYWHERE

THE FIRST TIME I studied storytelling in a formal setting, I was lucky to have professor Rives Colin of Northwestern University’s theater department as my guide. It was nearly fifteen years ago, but I still remember one important lesson: finding the right story to tell for a particular audience can easily take up half of one’s total preparation time for any important presentation/communication.
