When it comes to addressing contentious situations, there is no perfect conversation, but hopefully, at this point, you realize that you can foster healthy conversations even in the face of conflict. Furthermore, you can erase the term “difficult conversation” from your vocabulary; the only difficult conversations you need to have are those you label as such. Remember, we tend to call situations hard when we do not feel competent to deal with them effectively. Addressing conflict takes more skill than courage; skill acquisition increases competence, which raises confidence.
