PERSONALITY TRAITS
As you might imagine, I have worked with many challenging people over 30 years. One of the most frustrating things a client will say is: “Well, that’s just my personality.” I tell clients that I am not interested in changing their personality and have no idea how to even do so. Rather, I am interested in helping people understand the adverse impact of their behaviors on others, their relationships, and the probability of having healthy conversations. I want people to take responsibility for their actions and to understand that they get to make choices about how they relate to and treat others.
