LOADED LANGUAGE

Loaded language refers to words, phrases, statements, and questions that evoke strong emotions. As discussed previously, there are a litany of factors that moderate our interpretation of language and influence how we respond to others, including our vocal tone, body language, context, and unconscious biases, as well as our motivations, state of mind, and mood. The more cognizant we are of these influences, the better we can control our emotions and respond in a calm, intentional, and measured fashion.
