The next few chapters are dedicated to a real-life project. No more “Hello Worlds” here. We’re going to build a real website, with real logic and real processes. After we’re done, I’m trusting you’ll have a solid understanding for why Go is such a great language, and feel equipped to start your own projects.
You have probably heard of the website Flickr, one of the earliest and most famous photo-sharing sites. Flickr allows you to upload, store, view, and share your photographs. What you may not have heard of, however, is Gophr. That’s because we’re yet to create it―but that’s about to change! We’re going to start building Gophr, our own photo-sharing service written in Go.
