One-on-One: Planning with a Purpose
Though the first day of school is still weeks away, Roxbury Prep is already abuzz with activity. In these last weeks of August, Principal Kim Nicoll is meeting with each teacher to review his or her yearlong curriculum plan.
Andrew, a veteran eighth-grade history teacher, arrives first. Kim begins by asking Andrew what changes he has been making to his plans. They narrow their focus to his unit on U.S. history in the 1830s, and Andrew starts commenting on his opening activity.
