Providing 360-degree feedback to participants is only the beginning of the development process. Individuals sometimes confuse assessment with development, but it is what happens after the assessment that matters most to organizations. Development is the actual sustained behavioral change that leads to an increase in the individual's effectiveness. Feedback should not be seen as the sole developmental event, but as an unfreezing of the participant's perceptions of the development process.
