8.0 Mark Maio engages his photographic eye, an aesthetic way of seeing, when making and arranging images. For these images, which were chosen from more than 200 photographs of individual human eyes that were intricately lit and photographed at 25x magnification, he paired Kodachrome film with a Zeiss photo slit lamp, made for the examination and photography of the lens, cornea, and iris of the eye.
