Specialized Lighting
Although the general principals of lighting won’t change, certain setups call for specific techniques. I’ll look at a few of these specialized situations in this chapter.
Product Shots
Product shots call for special care and handling for several reasons. First, the client wants you to make their (sometimes unsightly and hard-to-photograph) product look dramatic, attractive, and exciting. Unlike the still photographer, the product or the camera or both could be in motion. You might have a contrast challenge when you put lights on a black product.
