About the CD
The companion CD includes trial versions of LightWave; image, scene,
and object files for the tutorials; and all of the figures from the book. The
files are organized in the following directories:
LightWave Trial Versions — Demo versions of LightWave v9 as well
as pre-created materials from NewTek. The 30-day demos are
available for Macintosh (for use with Mac OS X) and Windows
(32-bit for Windows 2000/XP and 64-bit for Windows XP Pro x64).
Additionally, the Content file contains a variety of royalty-free
objects, scenes, and animations to give you a jump start on your
LightWave learning experience. Unzip the Content file to your hard
drive. Then in each project folder, locate the scene folder and
double-click or load the .lws file into LightWave Layout.
Figures — All the images from the book.
Images — Image files for use with tutorials.
Objects — Object files for use with tutorials.
OC — Scene and object files for the Overcaster tutorial in
Scenes — Scene files for use with tutorials.
Underwater Image Sequence — 60-frame image sequence
discussed in Chapter 10.
