Appendix C Performance Calculations for PM LSMs

The Case Study 3.1 in Chapter 3 deals with the performance calculations for a single-sided LSM with surface PMs. Let us make similar calculation for the same armature system and equivalent reaction rail with buried (embedded) configuration of PMs. The line voltage-to-frequency ratio should be V1L−L/f = 10 (V1L−L = 200 V at 20 Hz) and calculations should be done for f = 20 Hz and f = 5 Hz.
