There are numerous Web sites and news groups in and about the Linux community that provide helpful information during and after installation. The participants are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The Linux Documentation Project at http://www.linuxdoc.org/ is a good starting point. This organization is the control point for Linux documentation. The feet of shelf space given to Linux books at stores has exploded recently.
