Installing and Configuring DHCP Services
DHCP is the final network service we will configure. DHCP provides automatic IP address configuration during boot for systems on our network. There are many options for configuring DHCP on Linux and Windows, but we will only demonstrate the minimal set necessary to get our network up and running. For our discussion, we have established a two-computer network to demonstrate the configuration of DHCP servers on Linux and Windows. The first machine will be a DHCP server and the second machine will be a DHCP client. We have already shown how to configure DHCP clients.
