Adding a Windows Local Printer
Some Elsolutions Windows XP desktop machines will have local printers. This presents a configuration task. There are many ways to navigate to a given point in the Windows shell. This may vary a bit between Windows platforms. In any case, we want to drill down to a Printers folder. One way is to open the Control Panel from the Settings item of the Start menu, getting a window such as that shown in Figure 14-4. We shall show the steps used on an Elsolutions Windows XP Professional desktop here, but the procedure is almost identical for all of the Microsoft 32-bit Windows clients.
