Windows Backup and Restore

ntbackup is the backup tool supplied with Windows. ntbackup can be found from the menu path Start →Programs →Accessories →System Tools →Backup or by typing the following from the command line:

ntbackup 

Either method starts the Windows 2000 backup utility. ntbackup supports command-line options and a non-GUI execution. Hence, ntbackup is scriptable. ntbackup can also back up mapped drives, and it can use a (possibly mapped) file for the storage medium. With ntbackup, you can either use the backup wizard or simply select the Backup tab and fill out the required information. Either method works. ntbackup supports five different types of backup.
