logger [options] [message...]TCP/IP command. Add entries to the system log (via syslogd). If no message is given on the command line, standard input is logged.
When writing to a socket with -s, use a datagram instead of a stream.
Read message from file.
Include the process ID of the logger process.
Enter message with the specified priority pri. Default is user.notice.
Log message to standard error as well as to the system log.
Mark every line in the log with the specified tag.
Write log to socket instead of to the syslog.
Accept no futher options. Consider whatever is to the right of the hyphen as the message to be logged.
