Prelude
After leaving school at the age of 16, I didn’t really know what I was going to do with my life. I knew I liked music; I’d been playing bass in a band since I was about 14. I’d spent a lot of time taping live gigs off the radio, trying not to get any talking, and I’d spent a lot of money buying gear and going to shows. Meanwhile, my mate Mike had engineered my band for quite some time and had shown me the ropes on the odd occasion. I must admit that I quite enjoyed being behind the scenes.
