One of the most practical applications of logistics is in retailing. End consumers usually feel the qualification of a logistic network via retail logistics. In this chapter, first the essential concepts of retailing are explained and then different types of retailing are demonstrated. Some of the techniques which are more common and applicable are discussed. Surely, understanding future trends will affect all parts and players of retailing, and this is highlighted in the chapter. Case studies will help to get points which are realities of today’s retail logistics.
