The GE jet came in on a business flight with its cargo of two executives: one a plain old vice president and the other a senior vice president. (Note: GE, a company that pays 300,000 to 400,000 employees, has fewer than 200 vice presidents and probably an average of 20 senior vice presidents.)
The GE hangar was at White Plains Westchester County Airport in New York. The two men disembarked into the waiting GE town car.
The senior vice president lived in Fairfield, Connecticut, about 45 minutes or so from the airport. The plain old vice president lived in Greenwich, Connecticut, down the road from Fairfield, but only 10 to 15 minutes from the airport.
