Creating, Modifying, and Troubleshooting Columns
In Domino, a column is an object in a view that provides the developer a mechanism with which to display one of four possible values: the contents of an item stored in a document, a value computed using a formula, a total, or a category. A view can have a single column or as many as 289 ten-character-wide columns.
Designers also can use columns to provide order in a view, using them to sort and/or categorize documents based on the column value. Categorizing documents is a good way to group related documents. This section examines view columns in detail.
