Enhanced Inter-cell Interference Coordination and Multi-radio Coexistence

In this chapter we discuss the practical and theoretical aspects of two important features that were included in the recent releases of LTE to address inter-cell interference problems in LTE systems and in-device inter-radio interference issues, where both problems can adversely affect the system capacity, user throughput, and normal operation of the LTE system.
